Brew #61: Pacific Jade Single Hop Pale Ale

January 16, 2014

I intend to brew quite a few single hop beers this year: Bramling Cross, East Kent Goldings, Citra, Chinook and Pacific Gem to start with.

29.5 litres coming to the boil at 1046 gravity, 4.85kg of grist, average degrees of litre 307.6 spells 91 per cent mash efficiency. Bang on 24 litres into the fermentor at 1050 – 80 per cent brewhouse efficiency.
