Tasting impressions #54: Smoked Porter Revisited from Cask
December 1, 2013
Mini-cask version slightly after a month’s conditioning at cellar temperature. The smokiness has turned into ashy character and there is little lactid acid too. Light, roasty, chocolatey, fruity. It is very hard to make Weyermann Rauch-malt to stick around and linger – instead of giving one a slap around the face it will mellow and pinch the cheek.
